Hey David--
Thanks for the email. Court can be an expense for the company, especially the payroll of the LP Agents having to appear in Court. Some Counties require the LP Agent to show up for every aspect of the case, and most of the time, the offender doesn't show and they issue an arrest warrant or a continuance. The first shoplifter that I ever apprehended, still to this day, has not cleared the court system because they can't seem to track down the offender. The LP Agent only has to show up if they receive a subpoena. If they don't show up on the subpoena then the Judge can drop the case. Hopefully I answered your question. Thanks,

Comments:I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your site. It's both informative and entertaining, and it's so refreshing to see someone who enjoys their work - too often people look down on their own jobs, which really makes you wonder how they feel about themselves as people. I saw it all the time in retail - people were almost embarrassed of who they were, and so they eventually became someone to be embarrassed of. You have such a good attitude; I'd have loved to work with you when I was a store manager. The only suggestion I could even think of is that some of the colors make the text hard to read because they're so bright, but that's a very minor issue - by and large, your site is excellent.
